Raycar is modernly equipped to hob any spur gear, helical gear or splined shaft up to approximately 20 inches in diameter. Our wide variety of tooling allows us to cut any standard or metric requirement and consistently maintain up to AGMA class 9 quality.

Our newest addition of a Mitsubishi GD50 CNC Hobbing Machine easily increases Raycar’s productivity and capacity. This modern hobbing machine is outfitted with a high accuracy worm gear table design resulting in an increased accuracy on high production applications. The design includes increased feed rates on all axes and increased table and spindle rotational speeds. This machine is a perfect companion to our gear grinders.

We also have NC Hobbing Machines and Manual Hobbing Machines with a wide variety of tooling. Our operators are experienced and cross-trained increasing Raycar’s efficiency and productivity.

Depending on customer needs, Raycar has the ability to perform hob only operations for customers supplying gear blanks, or we can perform the work complete. Please allow us to quote your hobbing requirements both ways.
